Sustainability Summit & Awards 2025 honoured and recognised leaders in tourism & hospitality
BY SHUJATH ALI
The inaugural edition of the first-ever Sustainability Summit & Awards 2025 for hospitality in association with Hospitality Horizon and RACE Expos & Conferences was a resounding success.
Today’s travellers and guests expect sustainability to be evident, embedded and measurable. What began as a box-ticking statutory exercise has evolved into the defining hallmark of responsible luxury.
Sustainability is no longer a green leaf in the annual report – it is the new currency of brand credibility. By all accounts, clearly, sustainability in hospitality is no longer an annex; it is the operating system of modern luxury.
Sustainability Summit & Awards 2025 recognised and honoured outstanding contributions to sustainability, waste management, circular economy and environmental justice – bringing together senior leaders, policymakers, hospitality, travel and F&B stakeholders, sustainability advocates and change-makers from across India. These awards were judged by esteemed jury members comprising the who’s who of the industry.
While IDFC FIRST Bank was the Presenting Partner, BYD was the Luxury Car Partner. Trophy Partner was Creative Awards & Rewards and Print Partner was The Free Press Journal.
Nitesh Gandhi, GM of Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, was the most gracious and wonderful host. He delivered the welcome note and highlighted sustainability efforts in his hotel. Even though the brain behind this event Dr Sajjid Mitha, Founder & CEO, RACE Expo & Conferences / Polymerupdate / Polymerupdate Academy was unable to attend as he was not in the country Neeraj Rawal, COO, RACE Expo & Conferences / Polymerupdate / Polymerupdate Academy, gave the opening address.
All in all, the evening not only celebrated achievements but also reaffirmed a collective commitment – one that went far beyond business metrics and industry milestones. The message was clear: Sustainability
today is no longer a choice; it is a responsibility we all share.
